Our Location

No matter what you enjoy, there is something for everyone here at Butterflowers Holiday Park. Our site is located in Haverigg. This is close to Millom and is the perfect base to explore the South Lakes. To add to this, we have a heated indoor pool on our site for dips in all weathers as well as a beachside café perfect for alfresco bites overlooking the water.

There are several shops within walking distance nearby as well as pubs serving food. Alongside this, there are several popular tourist attractions on your doorstep. These include the Millom Discovery Centre, South Lakes Safari Zoo, Grizedale, and the Lake District National Park.

Millom Discovery Centre

At the Millom Discovery Centre you will find a museum, rail room and mining area with full-sized mining cage. There is also a café, gift shop and prehistory gallery.

Hodbarrow RSPB Reserve

The Hodbarrow RSB Reserve is a coastal lagoon overlooking the Duddon Estuary. There are several birds and species that can be found here including terns, oystercatchers, ringed plovers and redshanks.

South Lakes Safari Zoo

With more than 1,000 of some of the world's rarest animals, this is perfect for a family day out. You can get close to everything from Giraffes to beautiful birds and lions. There are even animal feeding experiences to watch.

Grizedale Forest’s Go Ape

Grizedale is a stunning location and at Go Ape you can enjoy a fun filled hour of canopy exploring, trail blazing and obstacles for all to enjoy.

The King Billy Grill

There is nothing better than a long walk along the beach followed by a delicious meal. A visit to the Famous King Billy Grill is a must.

The Ravenglass Miniature Railway

Known by some as the La'al Ratty, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway is the Lake District's oldest, longest miniature steam railway. Also, it is reputedly the most beautiful train journey in England.
