At the Millom Discovery Centre you will find a museum, rail room, mining area with full-sized mining cage, as well as a café, gift shop and prehistory gallery.
Hodbarrow RSPB reserve
The Hodbarrow RSB Reserve is a coastal lagoon overlooking the Duddon Estuary. There are several birds and species that can be found here including terns, oystercatchers, ringed plovers and redshanks.

No matter what you enjoy, there is something for everyone here at Butterflowers Holiday Park. Our site is located in Haverigg close to Millom and is the perfect base to explore the South Lakes from. All leisurely pursuits are well catered for on-site. We have a heated indoor pool for dips in all weathers as well as a beachside café perfect for alfresco bites overlooking the water.
There are several shops nearby as well as pubs serving food are all within walking distance. Alongside this, there are several popular tourist attractions nearby. These include the Millom Discovery Centre, South Lakes Safari Zoo, Grizedale, and the Lake District National Park.
